About the Role
We are looking for a rockstar social media lover, who wants to help grow our brand and presence. We want someone who wants to get their foot in the door at a growing brand. To start, this will be a part-time contract position (10-15 hours), but could morph into something more. Ideally, you are a guru of social media, and love to create content, are up on social trends, and full of ideas of your own. This role ideally would be local to the Raleigh area, as we’d welcome you to come into our office on occasion to collaborate with the teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day execution of our social media strategy, including scheduling, posting, and community managing on our main focus channels: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook; and work to develop our presence on Youtube Shorts, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc
- Monitor and report out on other emerging social platforms with intent to grow follower base and brand presence.
- Willingness to create and test content across our social channels (focus is IG and TikTok)
- Track metrics weekly, monthly, quarterly while working with marketing team to develop strategies for growth
- Oversee the content calendar to plan optimized content for each platform & based on the overall marketing calendar
- Develop and continually evolve social media strategy to align with broader marketing campaigns, business goals, and department KPIs.
- Keep informed of social trends, new platform features and best practices, and provide channel and community insights with actionable next steps on an ongoing basis.
- Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge while building a strong relationship with our target audience.
- Assist in outreach to potential brand partners and coordinate co-branded partnerships/giveaways etc
- Collaborate with internal team or external content creators, as needed, to proactively develop and deliver best-in-class social content including, but not limited to, images, videos, GIFs, Instagram Stories and more.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Experience in creating content for social channels such as Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube
- Understanding of and passion for ever-evolving social media landscape
- Understanding of social analytics and listening platforms, and more importantly the willingness to learn
- Well spoken with the ability to be concise, yet impactful in brand voice
- Some experience with design elements or programs such as Canva or Adobe (illustrator or photoshop)
- Quick learner, logical thinker, team player, and full of ideas to test!
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing or recent degree in marketing, communications, or related field - or prior experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and their best practices
- Creative thinking with ability to adapt quickly to evolving social trends
- Ability to create content
- Excellent communication skills
Compensation
- $20 - $35/hr depending on experience
- 10-15 hrs per week (flexible schedule)
