MCON

I originally had low expectations for the device because of the inset sticks and my previous experience with implementations of it, but I have been pleasantly surprised by its responsiveness. Yes, it feels strange to move your thumbs lower, but after a few games, it will feel closer to normal. Just switching back and forth between a regular controller and the mcon will cause you to do it again. The Bluetooth connection has been solid, and the battery life is great. The MagSafe connection for my iPhone is also very nice. The controller with the phone on is top-heavy, but the flip-out handles help a bit. Don't get me wrong, it is still top-heavy, and I find myself taking breaks, but for something pocketable that I can just game on anywhere, it is worth the trade-offs. I got another two for my kids, and they are loving them. I look forward to the next generation of this controller and what they do with those sticks.

This controller is awesome! It works great for all my games so far. It has made emulator games way easier to play. I like that it looks like you're still using your phone and not a device.

That being said if you have big hands it will feel small. It also does not work well with thicker phone cases. The R1 and L1 buttons can become hidden or hard to press. I had to get a case that was flat with no edges on the back. Once I got the new case it worked perfectly. This thing is totally worth it!

I’ve been using mine for about a month now, and it’s helped me enjoy games on my phone a lot more. I use it for genshin and wuthering waves, and it works like a charm. I think ppl with larger hands might find it uncomfortable but i’ve never had that problem w controllers like joycons and the like, so can’t say for sure. Only thing that took getting used to was the top heaviness and the sunken in analog sticks, but it was a non-problem for me.

We got this as a birthday present to our preteen and not gunna lie, it is awesome! He really loves it! I like how it’s multifunctional so you’re not just stuck in one position for use. It’s fairly simple to set up and use. It was a great surprise for his birthday and I’m so happy he loves it!!

I've tried a bunch of other controllers for mobile gaming - Backbone (One and Pro), GameSir (X5 and G8), 8bitdo, and a handful of other off-brand ones. I'm sticking with the MCON.

Not only is it one of the only mobile controllers with symmetric sticks (and they're magnetic drift-resistent sticks!), but its size and the way it packs up makes it more portable than I would have thought. And the Bluetooth 5.3 multi-connection means I can have it paired to my phone, my Steam Deck, and my wife's Lenovo Legion Go at the same time and can switch between them with a button press.

It may not be the most ergonomic controller, and with my Pixel 8 Pro attached it is a bit top-heavy (hasn't fallen off the magnet though), but for me it's just the right combo of portability and utility.
