HOW TO USE

SNAP GRIP STAND

Grip & Grip Stand are extremely similar, so we reused some of the Snap Grip tutorial videos. Efficient? Lazy? You decide.

APPLY & REMOVE

On phones or cases with MagSafe, applying Snap Grip is as easy as setting it down and letting the magnets align. On phones/cases without MagSafe, you will need to use the included adapter, click below for more info. To remove, simply slide Snap Grip off to the side.

WTF IS MAGSAFE?

MagSafe is Apple's magnetic technology that securely attaches accessories to compatible iPhones and enables faster, more efficient wireless charging. It's the white ring of magnets you see on clear cases!

MY PHONE/CASE DOESN'T HAVE MAGSAFE

You'll need to install the magnetic adapter on the back of your phone. This needs to be as close to centered as possible for wireless charging compatibility. This adapter is located in the back of your packaging.

STAND

Pull from the top of the grip to deploy the stand, then adjust to your desired position. To use in landscape, rotate the entire grip 90 degrees.

OPEN

To open, press inward on anywhere on the edge of the cap. The cap also has two marks that locate spots that are easier to press & open. Alternatively, you can simply pry the cap open, though pressing is much easier with one hand.

MY GRIP WON'T CLOSE

If Snap Grip won't close, one of the arms has likely bent in the wrong direction. Your grip is not broken - just reset the position of the arm, close the cap, and keep the grip stay for a few hours. This will reset the arm "memory".

MY GRIP WON'T OPEN

If you leave your grip closed for a long period of time, the arms will "remember" their closed position and prefer it. Regular usage will make Snap Grip easier to open.

GRIP

To use Snap Grip Stand, make sure the marks on the cap are pointing up & down. From there, you have 3 different gripping modes:
2-Finger Mode: Slide 2 fingers under the cap, outside of the arms.

1-Finger Mode: Slide 1 finger through the triangular "tunnel" made by the arms.
Shelf Mode: Activate kickstand, use grip as a rest for your fingers.

WHICH GRIP MODE SHOULD I USE?

Shelf Mode: Least secure, easiest to access. Good for casual scrolling.
2-Finger Mode: Medium security, moderate ease of access. Great all around.

1-Finger Mode: High security, harder to access. Great for zero-gravity, extreme sports, arm-stretching selfies, etc.

MAGNET

Simply stick it to anything around you that’s metal. Having issues with sticking or sliding? Check the info below.

CAMERA BUMP DETAILS

If your Snap Grip isn't sticking to surfaces, there's a good chance you're experiencing camera bump interference! Newer phones have larger camera bumps that don't allow Snap Grip to make full contact with the surface. A good way to test this is to move your phone to the edge and allow the cameras to hang off - if it sticks better, there's your solution! Or you can use a thicker phone case.

SURFACE TEXTURE DETAILS

We've added a soft-touch coating to Snap Grip to allow it to stick better to slippery surfaces. However, larger phones and ultra-slick surfaces may still cause slippage.

CHARGE

To charge with Snap Grip, just slide it off your phone, set aside, and attach your phone to the wireless charger.

WHAT HAPPENED TO CHARGE-THRU?

Grip 4 featured Wireless Charge through which was unfortunately too unreliable for us to continue supporting it. There were too many variables: case thickness, charger strength, device firmware, etc. Our universal solution: just set Snap Grip aside!

EXTRAS

These next tutorials refer to hidden features aren't necessary or applicable to all users. But they're still handy.
